Liam Senior is one of the RAs (resident advisors) for the Woodhall dorm and resides on the second floor.

Can you introduce yourself?

I’m Liam. I'm one of the COSMOS RAs and I’m going to be a 4th year earth system science student.

How do you like UCI so far?

I really like it. A lot of people say that sometimes you need to put a lot of work into making friends–you definitely need to. But I feel like once you have your friends here its pretty good and they're pretty solid.

What’s your favorite part about UCI?

My favorite part of UCI definitely gotta be–I really enjoy my professors and also my friends. So some of my favorite parts of UCI are meeting the friends that I have now. To be honest they’re the best friends I have in my life so being able to meet them and be able to hang out all the time has been really amazing.

What's your favorite food?

I enjoy going to Chick-fil-A.

Is it convenient that there's Chick-fil-A at UTC?

Yeah its pretty convenient. Every now and then if I have just an hour break between my classes and not enough time to really go anywhere it's just across the street so if I hurry sometimes I can make that.

Also, you said that your major is earth system science. What is that?

Think of it like environmental science. They used to have an environmental science major and then they split it into two different majors. There's the bachelors of arts which is environmental science and policy, which is the policy side of environmental science – like creating laws and bills which is how it affects everybody. And earth system science is the bachelor of science which is how environmental science works and all that kind of stuff.

Any advice for future COSMOS students?

Try to have as much fun with it. It’s a short amount of time and I’ve seen a lot of people have a lot of fun and that’s good. Like you do have classes but a large part of what the RAs do is that everyone is safe, having a good time, and having fun. Yes, there is the class work that you signed up for, which you should get done, but you’re also here to see what it’s like to be living on a college campus and part of it is being in the dorms, having fun, and hanging out with people.
