WEEK 1
This first week was filled with both challenges and pleasant surprises. COSMOS students were rapidly fed new information while beginning to work on their final projects and adjust to campus life. But everyone had time for friends and fun with a trip to the University Town Center and the Corona Del Mar State Beach.

WEEK 3
This week at COSMOS, we furiously worked on our projects in preparation for our poster presentations, while balancing our lifestyle with plenty of exciting after-class activities. COSMOS
a poem by Kelsie Victor

The cosmos to all are stars in the sky,
Constellations of archers and creatures that cry,
But the COSMOS, we know plays a special melody,
Of physics, the genome, airplanes, chemistry,
We’ll remember the long-winded days and the nights,
The anteater hunts, the colored flag fights,
Hold tight to the pictures we took at the sea,
Conversations with your roomates under the trees,
The points that we lost, the points that we won,
Sipping tea with sugar, bathed by the sun,
Our music is pouring out of the halls,
Our research is pinned proudly to the walls,
Running on the rooftop, sunset close behind,
Our grins are ablaze, our fingers intertwined,
Tilting up our gazes to that cosmos above,
Maybe that’s where we lay, our COSMOS beloved.
