Briefly Introduce yourself.

Hello! My name is Angelina (she/her/hers) and I recently graduated from UCI with my B.A. in Psychological Sciences. This is my second year as a COSMOS RA! 

What motivated you to be RA and what is your favorite part of being RA? 

My biggest motivator in becoming an RA was my interest in working with students and an overall team. I wanted to find a way to be involved on campus while contributing to a community bigger than myself. Despite the chaos, COSMOS proves to be a program that is beyond just a summer camp. It’s a space to grow, learn, and take on new experiences with one another. My favorite part of being an RA is planning activities for the students! It’s a fun way to get to know the students on a deeper level and relax after a long day of lectures and labs. 

What inspired you to pursue what you majored in? 

I was inspired to major in Psychological Sciences because of what the career has to offer. I always knew that my purpose was to serve others and be that helping hand for people whenever I can. Psychology helped me understand the world better and the importance of individual differences. 

What cosmos activities are you most excited for?

I am most excited for our annual Talent Show! 

What are your favorite and least favorite things about UCI? 

Favorite things: Laying at Aldrich Park, Eating at the Dining Hall, Walking to UTC. Least favorite things: Getting parking tickets :0 

What are some things you do to de-stress? 

I love to spend time with my closest friends, go to the beach, have picnics, and sleep in 

What is the most famous person you have ever met? 

Daniel Caesar! I actually haven’t met him in person, but I did see him in concert LOL.

If you visit anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? 

As a kid, I’ve always dreamt of going to Hawaii because of the beautiful beaches, the delicious food, and pretty sights. I know it’s within the United States, but I’ve never had the opportunity to go so I hope I can fulfill that childhood dream of mine soon!

And finally, What is one thing that you would tell your high school self? 

I would tell my high school self to not be afraid of trying new things. We’re only at this young age once so it’s important to explore what’s around me and immerse myself in my passions.
